# Backend API 18.1.11

Released October 8, 2026

### New Features

* No new user-facing features are included in this release. This is a targeted maintenance release focused on database connection stability, load distribution, and concurrency improvements.

### Bug Fixes

* **KA-7879:** Resolved a resource management issue during folder synchronization and permission updates. Prevents server resource exhaustion and ensures consistent system performance during heavy folder management activity.
* **KA-7980:** Fixed an issue where scheduled background maintenance jobs could run concurrently across multiple server instances. Eliminates database contention and ensures system maintenance tasks execute reliably without affecting platform responsiveness.
* **KA-9547:** Resolved database lock conflicts and transaction rollbacks during bulk updates of account security data. Improves platform write throughput and reduces intermittent request delays during peak activity periods.
* **KA-9601:** Fixed an uneven traffic distribution issue where read queries were disproportionately routed to specific database replicas. Ensures balanced workload distribution across all available database nodes to optimize query latency and prevent localized bottlenecks.
* **KA-9648:** Resolved connection pool exhaustion that caused incoming requests to hang and time out during periods of high concurrency. Optimized connection handling and retry behavior to ensure continuous platform availability and prevent request timeouts.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://newdocs.keeper.io/en/release-notes/backend/backend-api/backend-api-18.1.11.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
